ATTRACTIONS

Do you like to explore? Then you'll love to explore PEI, around every corner you will have breathtaking vistas. It could be one of the many lighthouses, miles of dunes and white or red sand beaches, rugged coast lines, fishing boats off in the distance, picturesque fishing harbours, green rolling fields, red clay heritage country roads, museums, heritage rivers, and much, much more...

You'll enjoy the many lighthouses along the Points East Coastal Drive that need to be discovered. The history and magnificent views from each one is worth the climb.

There are 32 beaches just in the eastern region of PEI, as you walk or relax on one there is always one more to explore. In the middle of our tourism season you can find beaches were it is just you and your footprints in the sand…imagine!

All the rugged shore lines along the coast are a great way to get your sea glass, unique drift wood and other treasurers. Once you gather your sea glass you can take it to island artists and they will make it into necklaces, earrings or whatever you wish. Using shells, sea glass and driftwood you can make yourself mobiles. Keep your memories of the island alive until you can visit again.

Dig for your supper...that's right dig for your supper of clams. There are miles of beach in different areas where the tides go way out and you can go with your shovel and bucket and dig yourself some clams.

Island cusine is to die for... with our mouth watering lobsters fresh from the ocean or our island blue mussels which you can also get fresh to the delicious fresh vegtables that are fresh from our island gardens. Wether you go out to one of our great restaurants or try an island receipe at the house you will truly enjoy our island cusine. Here is a tip; when you go to cook your lobsters, clams or mussels go down to the shore and get yourself some ocean water and steam them. Nothing tastes better!!

If you are a bird watcher then PEI is the place to be, we have 333 species of birds on the island and one you will find magnificent is the Bald Eagle. You can see them soaring across the sky or diving for food.
